The Church is donating shoeboxes filled with toys and other items for Operation Christmas and we will be packing up the shoeboxes for mailing after church this upcoming Sunday, November 15th. If you can please bring $7 to help defray the mailing cost for your shoebox.
Here are ideas for what types of gifts you might put in your shoebox:
- One WOW gift that each child will see as a big surprise when they open the box, like a toy doll, a stuffed animal, or something a child would love
- An outfit
- Flip-flops or shoes
- A durable soccer ball
- Puppets, pens or pencils with sharpeners
- Paper notepads or picture books (no words)
- Hygiene items like combs, brushes, washcloths, soap in a plastic bag or toothbrushes
DO NOT INCLUDE:
- Glass items, war related items like guns or knives, used or broken items, liquid or aerosol cans, expired candy or food, vitamins, medication or lotions.
